Sparkling Rose Cocktail Recipe
An unexpected combination of Champagne and rosewater syrup that is pleasing to the senses and a wonderful way to begin a meal.
For the rosewater syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon rose water
For the cocktail:
- 1 bottle of sparkling wine, like prosecco or Champagne
- ¼ cup rosewater syrup
- Fresh rose petals, for garnish
For the rosewater syrup:
Combine water and sugar in small saucepan. Bring to boil, then simmer until syrupy, about 5 minutes. Stir in rose water. Cool completely.
For the cocktail:
In a large pitcher, combine sparkling wine with rosewater syrup and gently mix. Serve in Champagne glasses and top with fresh rose petals.

My Favorite Rosé Cocktail Recipe &ndash The Perfect Rosé Spritzer
Late spring into early summer is my favorite time of year. That beautiful, easy start to summer where lilacs and cherry trees are in bloom and everything is perfectly green and gorgeous. Basically, days that beg for porch sitting and garden planting and the perfect rosé cocktail. Enter the rosé spritzer.
I love a great wine spritzer recipe (or a rosé spritzer more specifically) on just such days! Light, refreshing, a touch fruity and like the perfect pour of summer in a glass. Lately I&rsquove been all about a crisp rosé spritzer, with lots of muddled strawberries and lemon and a touch of mint. It&rsquos kind of the ideal rosé cocktail if you ask me!
The Lone Ranger – Tequila, Sparkling Rosé & Lemon Cocktail
Inspiration comes in so many shapes and sizes and sometimes it’s not complicated or even seems special enough to warrant a story. This cocktail happened in the simplest of ways. Someone asked a question about Saturday morning cartoons. I recalled how much I hated them when my kids were young. I thought they were just loud and irritating and wished my kids could enjoy some of the Saturday fare I recalled from my childhood. The Lone Ranger, Sky King, Fury and My Friend Flicka among them (I just loved horses when I was little…still do!).
A bit later that day I spied a cocktail on Liquor.com called ‘The Lone Ranger’ – can you blame me for feeling this was somehow prophetic, that I had to make this cocktail or risk forever being cursed by the ghosts of Lone himself and his sidekick Tonto? It didn’t hurt that it was so pretty but what did surprise me with this Tequila, Sparkling Rosé & Lemon Cocktail tequila was the mixing of tequila and rosé wine. To call those a unique combination would be the epitome of an understatement I could not imagine them together which made me have to try it!
I admit that the wine I bought won out over others because I loved the color a really gorgeous pink. I wasn’t looking for an extraordinary rosé I was simply looking for a rose to mix with tequila and this worked perfectly for my tastes. An effervescent blend of Argentina’s signature Malbec red grape and Merlot it’s a light alcohol wine with flavors of strawberry and raspberry. All of a sudden I could start to imagine why this would be good tequila is used in margaritas all the time with fruit components.
Created by Jeffrey Morgenthaler, manager at the acclaimed Clyde Common in Portland, Ore, The Lone Ranger truly is simple and elegant a combination of tequila, lemon juice, a bit of simple syrup and some brut rosé sparkling wine. I thought it looked pretty and sounded interesting but I was unprepared for just how much I would love it. Cool, crisp and refreshingly light with that little kick of tequila it’s jumped way up the leaderboard for favorite summer cocktail!
Sparkling Rosé Sangria
Sparkling Rosé Sangria is the only cocktail you'll want to drink all summer long. It's light and refreshing, effervescent, and perfect for a crowd!
Keyword cocktail, rose, sangria
- 1 cup water
- 4 cups sliced strawberries, divided
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 750 ml bottle dry rosé wine
- 6 oz vodka
- 20 oz lime raspberry sparkling water
- 1 pint raspberries
Add water, 2 cups strawberries and sugar to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer 10 minutes and use a potato masher or fork to smash the strawberries. Simmer another 5 minutes. Cool.
Push mixture through a fine sieve, reserve the liquid and toss anything you couldn't get through the sieve.
Add strawberry mixture, wine, vodka and remaining 2 cups of sliced strawberries to a large pitcher. Let sit for one hour.
Just before serving, add sparkling water and raspberries. Serve over ice.
Frisco 49 Cocktail
The Frisco 49 cocktail was created by Brandon Chandlor. It was inspired by a combination of those sweet little fruit cocktail cups from childhood and the French 75 cocktail. It is a delicious mix of pear gin, roasted peaches, and sparkling wine that can work for a variety of occasions, from special celebrations to a casual night at home.
The finer points of the cocktail include infusing gin with two varieties of pear. Chandlor recommends Citadelle and says that in choosing a gin: "I did not want to add anything too dry such as a London Dry because you are adding dry sparkling wine." Sound advice and you will find that he made an excellent decision. There are many other uses for a great infusion like this as well and it may be one that you will want to make regularly.
Beyond the gin, there is one more special ingredient in the Frisco 49. It is a homemade roasted peach honey syrup and it's quite easy. Simply roast cinnamon-covered peaches and blend them into a syrup. Again, another fantastic ingredient to have in the bar, particularly in those few months when pear and peach seasons overlap (the last few months of the year).
Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail
This is the most gorgeous, simple cocktail that you must make for your next party. So many recipes I read call for boiling down herb and fruit to make my own simple syrup, or soaking these foods for days, or a variety of specialty preparations that take WAY more time than I have for this kind of recipe. My Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail is nothing like that. You can use on-hand ingredients to whip this up and it’s perfect for a birthday party, dinner party, brunch, or celebration with friends.
While I did make this around the winter holidays with Thanksgiving and holiday parties in mind, it really could be made any time of year. The flavors are light and fruity so it would be fun in the spring or summer as well. Pomegranates are in season in the fall but what’s to stop you from using some raspberries or blackberries other times of the year?
The base for this festive-looking Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail is of course sparkling rosé. I was at a friendsgiving party the other day and a man there had opened a bottle of rosé but people were declining to have it. I took him up on his offer, foregoing my usual red wine, because I hadn’t had it since it was hot out this summer! I was pleasantly surprised. Rosé goes so well with many holiday foods and I think we should bring it back into rotation at all times of the year.
My Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail is a cocktail indeed because it has vodka in it. You do need to be careful with recipes that combine liquor and wine because…they’re a bit potent. I generally stick to just one. This recipe I would say is alcohol forward because of that combination but in a really good way. I’d say that the pomegranate juice really complements the beverage and brings all the flavors together. Plus it’s the most beautiful color. I bought a bottle of POM Wonderful because it’s so easy and delicious and that makes this cocktail super easy to make, as well.
Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail
This is such a simple cocktail to make for your next party but I actually tried it two different ways so I wanted to break them both down for you. Because of the beautiful color and flavors in this recipe, there are some options for how your guests might like it best and that also might depend on your occasion. The one we loved making the most included serving this beverage in a delicate champagne flute.
To create the cocktail, you literally set your glasses out, pour the juice mixture in (you’ll be mixing the first 3 ingredients in a measuring cup first). Then you simply top each with 1/4 cup of chilled sparkling rose, sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and serve. This is absolutely the easiest way to pour it and go. You can double the recipe for a larger group and make 8 or more at a time. This would be so perfect for a brunch, a baby or bridal shower or a birthday party.
One thing I love about the way this cocktail looks is the garnish of pomegranate arils. They are so tart-sweet and small enough to sip and enjoy with the beverage. I took this to a party last weekend actually and I had a container of the arils leftover. I was weaving in some sparkling water in between cocktails and I thought I’d spice it up by adding some arils to the water in a glass over ice. It definitely made that drink a lot more interesting.
This is one of the tips I talk to my clients about the most. Alternating in water at parties is an absolute must but making it look beautiful is your secret weapon. You can absolutely ‘drink’ all night and no one will ever notice that you’re not on cocktails. A beautiful garnish goes a long way so next time see a pomegranate at the store, make sure to seed it and use it for a cocktail or mocktail.
Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail on the Rocks
There’s another really fun way to serve this and I might suggest it if you want to use stemless wine glasses, regular wine glasses or if you have some beautiful rocks glasses. Serve the Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail on the rocks. This would be perfect for summer if it’s hot out or if you’re wanting to make sure that guests slow down a little and get a bit more hydration through the melting ice. It really depends on what type of party and guests you’re having. It also depends on your own preference, of course.
If this is how you want to serve your Sparkling Pomegranate Rosé Cocktail, start by putting ice in the glasses. Then proceed with the rest of the recipe. Mix the first three ingredients together in a separate measuring cup, then pour that evenly into 4 glasses, top with sparkling rosé and the add the pomegranate arils. Done!
Keep in mind that there are other variations as well. You could absolutely leave out the vodka if you want a lighter beverage. You could use sparkling wine instead of rosé. As mentioned before, feel free to use different kinds of berries depending on the season. I never want you to stress if you don’t have the right kind of ingredient. All my recipes are adaptable. Speaking of, I wanted to share some other recent favorites with you so that you have tons of options.
You’ll notice that all my cocktails contain fruits and veggies. I love to have the natural flavors shine through. If they need sweetness added I often use honey or agave instead of simple syrup and sugar. Of course those others are sugary as well but they mix very well into beverages and lend a light flavor without being overpowering. If you’re vegan, make sure to use agave rather than honey.

Cocktail Recipe: Sparkling Cherry Rosé Sangria
In my book, summer calls for a spritz, and while this sangria is hot pink and bubbly, don’t be fooled — it’s anything but delicate. It’s loaded with fresh cherries straight from the farmers market, spiked with cherry liqueur, and finished with cherry bitters. This sangria is as pretty on the palate as it is in the pitcher.
A dry rosé wine, not a blush or white Zinfandel, is the base here. The fruit and liqueur, along with the traditional simple syrup of a sangria, add all the sweetness you’ll need. (Using either a blush or a white zinfandel will leave you with an overly sweet sip.) Top this sangria off with some cold club soda, and you end up with a refreshing, spritzy drink, perfect for celebrating summer.
If you like cherries, you can’t go wrong with this sangria. It has a triple dose of cherries: fresh cherries, cherry liquor, and even cherry bitters! It’s a beautiful, refreshing drink since it has both rose wine and club soda, and the rosemary sprigs add a touch of savory, herbal flavors to balance everything out.
Honestly, you have a lot of directions you can go with this cocktail, but I'm especially partial to a smoked salmon platter with side of buttery Brie and plenty of crackers. Those fruity notes always go well with salmon, the bright lemon is a natural match with seafood, and those lively bubbles will cut through the fatty fish and cheese. Some salmon sashimi or sushi rolls are another delicious option.
